The first GT race in Barbados history, as lived in six and a half minutes of the championship's official video.
The first professional GT race in Barbados history. From the coconut teaser to “¡Gracias Barbados!”, the championship built visibility on its own channels, through partners and on regional television.
The number of times audiences viewed GT Challenge content on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok during the Barbados campaign: more than five million impressions for a single round.
Partner posts (teams, photographers and media) generated three times more views than the official posts: the round's content travelled far beyond the championship's own accounts.
Each bar is one day in August and September. During the build-up, the championship kept a steady conversation going with driver confirmations and island content. When the cars arrived in Barbados the audience began to grow, and on race weekend visibility multiplied: August 30 and 31 recorded 2.83M views, more than the rest of August combined. After the race, the results and wrap-up kept visibility well above build-up levels.
For a brand, this means race weekend delivers peak exposure, while presence before and after the race extends reach over almost two months.
Engagement measures the share of people reached who reacted to, commented on, shared or saved the content. Cumulative reach adds up the reach of every Instagram and Facebook post; TikTok only began measuring people reached on September 20, after Barbados, so it adds no reach for this round. Interactions do include all three networks. Total engagement is calculated with Instagram and Facebook, the networks with measured reach; TikTok's is calculated on its views.
Barbados ranks as the 8th country in the Instagram audience (2.0%), ahead of Trinidad and Tobago (1.2%) and Guyana (0.9%).
Profile of the account's followers according to TikTok (current measurement as of October 3, 2026; the account opened in August).
14 Jul – 10 Sep 2026: from the first post dedicated to Barbados (the coconut teaser, “Ready for the next round?”) to the last (the “¡Gracias Barbados!” reel).
The first professional GT championship in Barbados and the GT Challenge's debut at Bushy Park: a short concrete track, night qualifying and two 30-minute races on Sunday. Round 4 closed the 2026 Caribbean Tour.
The Danny Formal / Gustavo Ortega pairing (AP Racing) took pole position and set the championship's first track record at Bushy Park.
53 of the 54 official Instagram posts were published in collaboration with partners such as Fast Parts Caribbean, Bushy Park Barbados, Visit Barbados, teams and drivers. In addition, 39 external profiles (teams, photographers and media) published 107 collaborative posts.
Telemundo, Claro Sports, WIN Sports, REV, TVC Deportes (Mexico) and the championship's official YouTube channel took the race across the region.
For Barbados we built a distinct identity, different from Panama and Guyana: take the drivers to the island before they reach the track. Every confirmation became a beach postcard and every driver a holiday hero, helmet in hand.
Drivers appear on white sand dunes enjoying leisure activities: sandcastles, sun loungers with umbrellas, surfing, paddleboarding, windsurfing, beach volleyball or quad bikes. The race car waits behind them. The message: the region's best motorsport, in paradise.
A blue sky with clouds and a turquoise gradient as background, contrasted with the GT's red-orange-yellow. The blue and gold of the Barbados flag, with its trident, appear as accents.
A fixed Fast Parts Caribbean × GT Challenge × Repsol header, the driver's name in PROS type over the sand and a bar with the venue's partners (Pirelli, Sunoco, Bushy Park and local partners). The whole series is recognizable at a glance in the feed.
Cultural carousels (“5 things you didn't know about Barbados”: the grapefruit, George Washington, Mount Gay rum, the flying fish, Rihanna) that connected with the tourist destination, in tune with Visit Barbados.

❯The campaign was built as a story: first intrigue, then the island and its protagonists, then the tension of race week, live coverage and the wrap-up. Select each phase to see its performance and key posts.
A coconut with the GT logo on a beach opened the conversation without revealing the venue. Two days later, the official launch “Speed, sun and beach” confirmed Barbados and the date: 615 shares, the campaign's highest.
A steady drip of confirmations, driver by driver and pair by pair, with the beach–island look. They alternated with reels in which the drivers themselves explain how they prepare and what they expect from Barbados, and with cultural content about the island.
